Kite Flying 101

Owen's first time flying a kite. Yes, it was everything he dreamed it would be!
He caught on FAST. Way to go buddy.
**I must say...raising My Little Owen has brought me the most challenging, rewarding, and joyful experiences of my life. Thank you little one, for making me a Mom.

My Little Helper

Owen has been 'helping' me in the office as I sew his Quiet Book and do other various crafts. Look at him go! He unrolls the paper and then uses SCISSORS for the FIRST TIME. Then, he gets out his coloring supplies and creates a little masterpiece. He likes to show me his coloring/drawing when he is done. I always tell him what wonderful work he has done.

He is even playing with a few completed quiet book pages - they are a hit!

Owen is always happy! We have so much fun together and he is so sweet.

In these pictures we are playing in the backyard on the hammock that Kendall and Kira gave us years ago - we love this thing! Owen always wants to be outside, no matter the weather. I like how our dog tries to get close to the hammock, even though its swinging all over the place. He and Owen play really good together, and what a blessing that has been.

Dear Tip,
Thank you for being such a great dog and putting up with Owen swinging into you, crawling on you, and pulling your hair. We couldn't ask for a sweeter family dog than you!

Playing on the Swings - STG Style! |St. George Trip|

We visited St. George, UT in September. Loved it!! Here are just a few pictures from one afternoon of Owen playing on the swings with Daddy. He LOVES to be outside, so the backyard at Grandma Betty and Grandpa Jimbo's house was like 'heaven' to this little 20 month old. All swings and trampolines...and mama didn't even have to worry about picking up doggy poopy in this backyard. That a 'yahoo moment' for everyone!

P.S. I love the shorts he is wearing in these photos. Rikki McKim gave those to me when Owen was just a wee little one. Thanks girl!

Watching General Conference!

I've been watching conference this morning and Owen came and sat next to me on the couch. I'm surprised that at his age (20 months) he sat next to me and listened to the authorities of the LDS church for so long. I believe it was a tender mercy from the Lord, so I could peacefully watch and listen to this wonderful message.
Here is a picture of us happily sitting on the couch together while the Mormon Tabernacle Choir sang "I Am A Child Of God".

Fun on Friday Morning!

Owen and I have so much fun together! Today we were practicing saying "GO" and pointing so another part of the room. Then we would giggle all the way running to the spot where we had pointed.
